ISLC 2019’s keynote panel featured National Hockey League General Managers John Chayka (Arizona Coyotes) and Kyle Dubas (Toronto Maple Leafs), and was moderated by esteemed Sportsnet hockey insider Elliotte Friedman. The panel shared their insight into their work and career paths to aspiring sport business leaders.
Breakout Sessions
The breakout sessions at ISLC 2019 featured many prominent leaders from the world of sport, such as Laurence Gilman (Toronto Maple Leafs, Assistant General Manager), Nick Eaves (MLSE, COO), Judd Moldaver (Wasserman, SVP of Hockey), Craig Custance (The Athletic, EIC NHL-US), and Laurence Applebaum (Golf Canada, CEO), and Dr. Paul Dennis.
Case Competition
One of the highlights of the conference was the case competition, in which students competed for the opportunity to interview for internships with Golf Canada and the Arizona Coyotes. The competition was judged by panels consisting of established industry professionals, who offered their insight and feedback to the student delegates.
